DESCRIPTION:February 1\, 2019 | 6 pm – Midnight\nNight of Ideas is a worldwide event that celebrates the stream of ideas between countries\, cultures\, and generations. Each year\, people around the globe come together to learn about and discuss the latest discoveries and issues facing the world today. \nL.A. lineup includes “Liminal Soundbath” with Jónsi (of Sigur Rós)\, Alex Somers\, and Paul Corley; vegan fashion show produced by Le Frenchlab; panel discussions and mini-talks on the environment and future cities with U.S. and French thought leaders; live DJs and musical performances; French film screenings; science speed dating and much more. \nFacing Our Time\nNHM\, in collaboration with the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles\, will present this year’s Los Angeles program for Night of Ideas. \n  \nThis year’s theme\, “Facing Our Time\,” explores global challenges around ecological and climate change through the lenses of science\, nature\, and art. \n  \nJoin us as we fill our Museum with intellectuals\, researchers\, musicians\, and artists who will bring to life questions related to the nature of our current political\, social\, and ecological moment\, ways to effect change in response\, and the power of imagination and creativity. It’s a night of engaging discussions\, live music\, pop-up performances\, food\, readings\, art installations\, screenings and much more\, in celebration of the rich cultures of the U.S. and France. \n  \nFree Event with Reservation\nSound bath tickets will be distributed onsite during the event at 6:30 pm on a first come\, first served basis. \n  \nPre-reserved tickets are not available at this time.
