The UCLA Department of History is proud to present the series “Why History Matters.” The series is dedicated to the belief that historical knowledge is an indispensable, and often missing, ingredient in public debate. Over the course of the year, “Why History Matters” events will bring historians into conversation with prominent public officials and personalities on issues of contemporary relevance.
