LCHP Fellow Tendayi Achiume writes UN report on neo-Nazism
Professor Tendayi Achiume, UN Special Rapporteur on on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, has released her mandate’s fall 2019 report on the subject of combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. In the report, Special Rapporteur Achiume, a former Luskin Center fellow and a UCLA Professor of Law, discusses the efforts UN members states have taken to counter neo-Nazism and related hate crimes, and she also addresses the resurgence of antisemitism.
