Call for Student Researchers 2020

The UCLA Luskin Center for History and Policy undertakes original research projects that provide historical context and guidance for key present-day issues. LCHP is currently looking for student researchers/interns to support two projects during the summer and early fall. These projects will deal with:

  • The history of California’s approach to elections, voting rights, and mail-in vs. in-person voting.
  • The history of university responses to different local, national, and global crises.

Researchers may be undergraduate or graduate students. They should have research interests in the areas of history, political science, economics, sociology, education or public policy.  They will be working under the guidance of Luskin Center director David Myers and associated center faculty. Researchers may be eligible for LCHP stipends or course credit.  Research projects will run through October 2020.

To apply to be a student researcher, please send a resume and name of a reference (affiliation, contact information), as well as which research project you are interested in, to by June 1, 2020.
